Attachment Configurations

Soft Tie Down Attachment (#1) allows for a 3 -point connection of the sled to the pwc with the use of rope, bungee cord, carabineers, and pad eyes located on the pwc transom. The Bumper ( in yellow color) slides over the aluminum nose plate. A pad eye sleeve is placed in the center and a large clevis pin is used to connect the bumper and the center pad eye sleeve to the nose of the sled. Bungee cord is threaded through the holes through the sled hull on the left and right side for completing the 3-point connection to the pwc rear transom.

Quick Hitch Attachment (#2) utilitizes the same large clevis pin to connect the sled to the hitch, instead of using the bumper and pad eye sleeve. The hitch mounts permanently to the pwc rear transom by drilling 2-3 holes and using some bolts and nuts. The sled connects to the hitch only at one point. The hitch has its own bumper system. The sled rides on the rubber tow pad (shown in brown color) that is fastened to the hitch bracket. A hitch boot covering (not shown in this diagram) provides safety and security from being injured and keeps people from contact with the hitch components while in use. Surprisingly, this attachment is much more stable than the 3 point attachment as found in our Tie Down Attachment and is preferred by many fire rescue agencies and military.
